Temitope Balogun Joshua popularly known as TB Joshua was a Nigerian pastor and prophet and was the leader and founder of The Synagogue, Church of all Nations, a Christing Megachurch that runs the Emmanuel TV television station from Lagos. TB Joshua died on 5th June 2021 after one of the evening services.
TB Joshua Bio
TB Joshua was born on June 12, 1963. According to his autobiography, unusual circumstances surrounded his birth claiming he spent 15 months in his mother’s womb. He narrowly escaped death shortly after birth after a quarry explosion near his house sent rocks through its roof just seven days after his birth. It is also alleged that his birth was prophesied 100 years prior.

At the time of his death, he was 57 years of age. He was set to celebrate his birthday a week later at his MegaChurch in Lagos.

TB Joshua was married to Evelyn Joshua and together they had three children.
TB Joshua Career
Joshua had attempted to join the military but this plan was thwarted because of a train breakdown which left him stranded en route to the military academy. After claiming that he had received a heavenly vision and a covenant from God to start his ministry, Joshua founded the ministry organization The Synagogue, Church of all Nations (SCOAN) which had more than 15000 members. The Guardian indicated that SCOAN attracts more visitors than the combined numbers of visitors to Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London. The popular services have also led to a boost for local businesses and hoteliers.
TB Joshua Death
The news about his death was confirmed by the church on Sunday morning days before his birthday on June 12. The Church’s full statement was as below;
PROPHET TB JOSHUA – JUNE 12th 1963 to JUNE 5th 2021
“Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.” – Amos 3:7
On Saturday 5th June 2021, Prophet TB Joshua spoke during the Emmanuel TV Partners Meeting: “Time for everything – time to come here for prayer and time to return home after the service.”
God has taken His servant Prophet TB Joshua home – as it should be by divine will. His last moments on earth were spent in the service of God. This is what he was born for, lived for, and died for.
As Prophet TB Joshua says, “The greatest way to use life is to spend it on something that will outlive it”.
The Prophet leaves behind a legacy of service and sacrifice to God’s Kingdom that is living for generations yet unborn.
