My dad taught me all the important things: to love God, to treat others as you want to be treated, to work hard, to go for your dreams, to set goals and to always put your family first. He also taught me the silly things: eat ice cream, get good at puns, go on secret adventures, plan surprises and love The Beach Boys! Happy Birthday Daddy! Thanks for being the best father a girl could hope for!

My sweet husband needs your prayers please. Nick has been sick for awhile with what we were told last week was pneumonia. Unfortunately we think he was misdiagnosed and we are waiting to hear if this is in fact COVID. He is scared, in the ICU and now unconscious so his body can get enough oxygen. We are all trying to stay positive and strong knowing that he is in the best care. I miss him terribly. I’m not allowed there to visit of course and can do nothing to help him. Nick is scared too, this has gone from bad to worse. He isn’t allowed to eat or drink, he is very weak and having a hard time breathing. Elvis and I are feeling completely fine. My hubby is fighting like a champ but this is serious. Please stay home everybody. Thank you to everyone who has been helping us so far you know who are and you are all angels. 🙏🏻
In an Instagram post made on 11 April 2020, she shared that her husband was fighting for his life in hospital. She wrote: “My whole world has stopped. Please pray for my husband. Nick is getting stronger and the AMAZING doctors and nurses think they can take him off ECMO soon! This would mean his heart and lungs would be functioning on their own. Anything can change in an instant, but we are staying positive! HE IS HEARING US GUYS! Sing with me at 3pm today! LIVE YOUR LIFE”

By Saturday afternoon, Kloots was told that his condition was ‘moving in the right direction’ and that his life had been saved. But not long after getting the good news, the actor took a turn for the worse when the heart and lung machine slowed the blood flow in his right leg that required immediate surgery. Cordero survived the operation but he is listed in critical condition. ‘He is struggling and just every minute counts right now,’ Kloots said as she fought back tears. Again I thank you for the prayers and everything and please just keep praying.’
The fitness influencer continues to seek support for her husband who is critically ill and fighting for his life. Before he got sick, Cordero’s production of Rock of Ages was shut down due to the pandemic, which left him without paid employment. Kloots told BuzzFeedNews in an interview published on Tuesday that she has now launched a long-in-the-works subscription service for her workout videos via her website as a way to make money. ‘We’re gonna have hospital bills, and we have a mortgage and we have a car payment and I have to do my best to keep up my business as much as possible because it is my only income at the moment,” she said. Kloots has been sharing the actor’s journey with her social media followers and she told BuzzFeed she is grateful for the outpouring of support she has continued to receive. “The prayers and the thoughts and the people who are joining me in my live workouts or my online workouts…it just has been honestly overwhelming.” She added, “when Nick wakes up from all this, and he hears everything that has happened, its going to take him so many days to process this, he will cry so hard.”
Because of the CoronaVirus and the quarantine restrictions, the fitness influencer is unable to be at her husband’s bedside at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Cordero is a Tony Award-nominated stage actor who has starred in shows like Bullets Over Broadway, Rock of Ages and Waitress.
