Sean Da Don Death
On May 6, 2020, Sean “Da Don’ Reed was involved in a high-speed chase with the police. The Video shows Reed driving his car and talking to his followers about something. All the while being chased by the police. He then parks the car, saying he’s at 62nd and Michigan Streets and begins running, at which point his phone dropped and gunshots are heard. Reed was shot and killed by Indianapolis police and the entire incident was captured on his Facebook live.
In a Tweet by a tweeter user Beairshelle Edme, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) has confirmed that a man died in the shooting and the shots were fired by “both officers and suspect.” According to the update, the suspect had a gun by him which was non “an officer’s gun.”
Police first used a taser on him and rather than pull over, he stopped and ran.
Says taser was used by officer!

The live stream continues after the shooting for a few minutes and it captures the faces of the officers involved in the shooting before the live video is turned off by presumably the officers involved in the shooting. After watching the live video, someone presumably an officer says, “Oh, he actually got one-off?” and where another presumed officer laughs and says, “looks like it’s going to be a closed casket homie” and “gotta be a shell casing over here.”
It has not been made clear why the police were chasing him, but seen running in the video running on foot before he is taxed. Facebook has since removed the original live stream but clips of it are still largely available. The incident is currently under investigation.

According to a report Fox59.com, an investigation is underway after this incident. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said the chase started around 6 p.m. on Wednesday when officers saw a vehicle driving recklessly. Assistant Chief Chris Bailey said the behavior was described as almost hitting another car and driving close to 90 mph. “The officer always has the discretion whether or not he’s going to address the driving behavior or not, but the driving behavior was such that the officer felt it needed to be addressed,” Bailey said.”Attempted to make a traffic stop, the person driving the vehicle didn’t stop, and that’s what started the chase.”
Officers chased the driver to the area of 56th and Lafayette before terminating the pursuit.
An officer with the Northwest District, however, noticed the car going eastbound on 62nd and pulling into a parking lot before the driver got out of the vehicle. The IMPD said the officer got out of his car and the driver started running away. Photos of the scene show a lot of police activity:

While the police department is aware of the video posted to Facebook, Bailey added that the department preserved the evidence and will use it if the information on it is appropriate to the investigation.
The officer involved in the shooting was placed on leave pending the results of the investigation.
