Chris Paul Basketball player for Phoenix Suns experiences another injury

Chris Paul born Christopher Emmanuel Paul is an American professional basketball player for the Phoenix suns of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Chris plays in the point guard position.

Chris Paul Biography

Chris Paul was born in Lewisville, North Carolina on May 6, 1985. He grew up in North Carolina where he and his brother would work summer at his grandfathers petrol station. Chris Paul went to high school at West Forsyth High school in North Carolina where he played varsity basketball for two seasons.

Chris Paul Career 

Chris Paul commenced his career after he was selected fourth overall in the 2005 NBA draft by the New Orleans Hornets. His impeccable performance for the New Orleans saw him named NBA Rookie of the year falling shot of winning the award by one vote.

Chris Paul was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers on December 8, 2011. However, the deal was cancelled and on December 12, 2011 the hornets agreed to trade Paul to Los Angeles clippers but the deal broke after NBA added additional demands to the original terms.

Chris Paul would later join Los Angeles clippers and he was instrumental in rejuvenating the teams overall performance.

On June 28,2017 Chris Paul was traded to Houston Rockets however on July 16, 2019 the Houston rockets traded Paul to Oklahoma City thunder.

On November 16,2020 the thunder traded Paul to phoenix Suns where he is still playing to the present.

Chris Paul Injury 

The 36 year old injured his shoulder in game 1 against Los Angeles Lakers on May 23, 2021.Paul injured his shoulder after colliding with a teammate following a Lakers basket. Paul laid on the ground for some time before being helped off the court by LeBron James and others. James has called Paul one of his best friends off the court. though the injury was serious Paul returned to the bench and shortly after re-entered the game.

“I talked to him briefly just now and his words to me was he was OK and he would be OK moving forward,” Suns head coach Monty Williams said after the game. “He was pretty sore when he came back, but him playing today gave us a lot of juice, a lot of energy. It was inspirational to watch him out there, give it his all on both sides of the floor.” added the coach.

Despite the injury Chris Paul confirmed that he would be good to go for game 2, per ESPN.

Paul has previously had a devastating hamstring injury while with the Houston Rockets.
